Weatherby’s Resort in Grand Lake Stream, Maine, is planning a weekend event featuring a combination of classic fly tying and fishing for fresh-run Landlocked Salmon. The dates are May 15, 16, 17. This event includes three nights lodging and all meals with two full days of tying and fishing. Ice-out fishing on Grand Lake Stream with classic wet flies and streamers is fantastic. Typically numerous fish fresh from Grand Lake and Big Lake feeding on smelt and sucker spawn.

In addition to Don Bastian’s tying and fishing instruction, participants will receive a complimentary Don Bastian DVD; your choice of one of his three classic wet fly or streamer titles, and a signed, packaged card with one traditional Maine classic streamer fly and a two-fly set of his Collector’s Edition Ray Bergman wet flies. (Approx. $60 value).

The Details:

Participant will arrive during the afternoon of May 15. Cocktails at 5 PM followed by Dinner with Don and crew 6-7PM.

Three nights lodging and meals with two days of tying and fishing with Don Bastian is $725 per person. $200 deposit required to reserve space but refundable if the minimum group size of 6 participants is not met.
Cancellations within 7 days of event are non-refundable.  If the course is cancelled, reservation will be honored for three nights lodging and meals for a total cost $530.70 and full amount of deposit will be applied to the balance.
