Maine Moose Hunting

Moose hunting in Maine is by permit, which are drawn early summer in a lottery. Weatherby's sits in the heart of Wildlife Management District 19 which offers a week of Maine moose hunting in September and a week in October. The permit application deadline is April 1 for a hunt in the fall.

Registered Maine Guides are not required to hunt moose, but highly recommended.
