Dear Friend of Weatherby’s:

It is a bittersweet time of year for us here at Weatherby’s. Six months of fishing and hunting everyday goes by quickly. The leaves are down and the lakes are beginning to freeze. Snow will follow soon and we will be in the depth of winter before you know it. It is time to reflect on the season gone by – our 13th here at Weatherby’s – and time to plan for our 2016 season. We thank you for your continued loyalty and patronage in an era when you can fish anywhere in the world as easily as you can fish at Weatherby’s. The tradition of the Maine sporting camp is alive and well in Grand Lake Stream and we could not do it without you.

We have an exciting winter ahead with some changes to our web site and marketing. We have set dates for our 2016 Iceland trip and we are currently booking fishing and hunting for 2016 at our home base in Grand Lake Stream. Book early to get your cabin and guide of choice. It won’t be long before we are casting for salmon, trout and smallmouth here at Weatherby’s.

Iceland 2016 Dates

Our 2015 group of Project Healing Waters veterans and supporters enjoyed excellent fishing in Iceland during our September trip. We fished three days for Atlantic salmon and three days for sea run brown trout. One highlight of the trip was Ret. Admiral Grog Johnson landing his first ever Atlantic salmon. Congrats Grog!

Dates are set for 2016, arriving Reykjavik August 31, returning to the US September 8. If you are interested in joining us for this Icelandic fishing adventure, please give us a call soon at 207-796-5558. Learn more at www.weatherbys.com

Northwoods Grouse Camp a Success

We enjoyed two weeks of excellent weather this year at our North Woods Grouse Camp late October and November. Great company, excellent dog work and we found the birds – averaging 20+ per day with a few days of 30+. They were not everywhere, but we certainly found them. Wildlife sightings this year included bear, lynx, fisher, coyote, deer and of course lots of moose. For the serious bird hunter or for someone that likes to explore the big woods, this is a great opportunity. We are booking for 2016 now and space is limited. Give us a call at 207-796-5558.
