Dear Friends and Colleagues,

When you are on the water or in the woods with Weatherby’s, your health and safety are our first priority. Please know the same holds true as we navigate this ever changing COVID-19 situation.

At this point I wanted to reach out and assure you we are carefully and thoughtfully monitoring the situation and its impact on travel. We are getting our information from and trusting the CDC (Centers for Disease Control), the WHO (World Health Organization) and the Maine Governor’s office and will continue to educate ourselves as new information becomes available.  We have modified our operating procedures to promote social distancing and minimize potential exposure for our staff while working.  We are providing hand sanitizer in our cabins and lodge and fully sanitize our lodge and dining area twice daily.  We ask that all guests staying with us monitor their own health and let staff know if they are not feeling well.   If personal health is in question, we ask that you refrain from entering shared spaces.  We ask that guests abide by social distancing guidelines.  Masks are not required in our dining room during meal service, but feel free to wear masks if you are more comfortable in doing so.  If you are concerned about dining in the lodge, we are happy to accommodate you with meals in your private cabin.

For the last 20 seasons, Weatherby’s has been working with guests to provide all the information needed  to make an informed decision on whether to come vacation with us. Our long history in the fly fishing and hunting business tells us that during moments like these, you—our guests—will be in different places in your decision-making processes.

We continue to strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance.

If you have any questions or concerns, particularly those of you who are planning a trip with us beginning in May, do not hesitate to reach out.

In the meantime, practice your casting, shoot some skeet or head for the range, play some whiffle ball, eat a pizza and watch a movie with your family, keep in mind life goes on and know we look forward to seeing you all here in Maine at Weatherby’s this season.
