Weatherby’s Intermediate School for Women will focus on early season nymph and streamer fishing techniques used to catch landlocked salmon. Focus of the school will be fishing for early season salmon in Grand Lake Stream.  You will learn how to outfit your rod, select flies and present them to salmon lying in wait.  We will cast sink tip lines with streamers focusing on presentation of the fly. In addition you will learn about early season wading safety and how to dress to stay warm in cold water. This is a fishing and learning experience that will allow participants to be comfortable and confident fishing on their own or with friends into the future . Although you don’t need to be an experienced angler, some experience with fly casting/fishing is helpful. We will teach you the rest!

Arrive May 7, 5 PM followed by two full days on the water.  Depart 1:00 PM after fishing May 10. $1395 Includes three nights lodging, two full day of instruction, all meals, beer, wine and use of Orvis fly rods, waders and flies.  Not included – tax, gratuities for staff and instructor.  Group limited to six participants.
