Fly Fish Iceland 2022 – Sea Trout and Atlantic Salmon

Hafralonsa and Eldvatn Rivers

Due to COVID, our ability to plan a group trip is uncertain until further notice.  Please contact us if you are interested in future trips or would like recommendations for private, guided fishing in Iceland.

A small group trip hosted by Jeff McEvoy of Weatherby’s and Haukur Þórðarson from Iceland will  fly fish two rivers – the Eldvatn on the southern coast for sea trout – running from 5 to 15 pounds; and the Hafralonsa in the northeast of Iceland for Atlantic salmon averaging 8-20 pounds.  Trip dates will be to arrive in Iceland on August 29th and depart on September 6th.  We will spend three days on each river with one night in Hofn between rivers on September 1 and one night in Keflavik September 5 before departure on the afternoon of the 6th.

Space will be limited to a total of 10 anglers as singles or pairs. Price for a single will be $5495 and pairs will be $3995 per person.  It will include three nights lodging and meals on each river and two nights in hotels while transferring between rivers.  This will be a semi-guided trip, meaning you will have access to local expertise, but will not have exclusive, full time access to a guide.  A full time guide can be available for additional fee.  Pricing does not include airfare to Iceland,  in-country domestic flights,  or meals while in hotels, but does include in-country transportation vehicle rentals and all lodging on rivers and in cities..
