Weatherby’s Fly Fishing School

Learn how to fish, not just how to cast!

Weatherby’s Fly Fishing School boasts some of New England’s finest fly casting instructors with decades of experience among them. Fly casting, whether it be on a lake for smallmouth bass or Fly fishing school in Maine at Weatherby'span fish or in a rapid stream for brook trout and salmon, is an individual and personal art. We offer custom schools to meet individual angler’s skill set and needs. Our scheduled fly fishing school as well as our private instruction will help you gain the insight into the art of angling in such a way that you will come away from any fishing trip with a quality experience.

Our novice fly fishing school will teach you all the basics – from casting to fly tying. Our intermediate courses will help you get to the next level of comfort, where you can read a stream, match a hatch and land a fish on most any water. Our fly fishing schools are offered throughout the season and private lessons can be scheduled at any time depending on instructor availability.

Give us call for more information or to sign up for Weatherby’s Fly Fishing School today. All inclusive pricing includes four nights lodging, all meals, and equipment in addition to a 20% discount on any ORVIS product purchased prior to the end of the school.
