Acadia and Katahdin Woods and Waters

At Weatherby’s in Grand Lake Stream, we are half way between Acadia National Park and Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. Make Weatherby’s part of your Maine vacation this summer!

Visit Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine and take in the breathtaking scenery of the ocean and the rugged coastline.

Next, visit Grand Lake Stream and stay at our classic Maine Sporting Camp. Bring the family and fish for landlocked salmon and smallmouth bass. Or hike the hills and lakeshore along Grand Lake. See a large variety of Maine birds on the Maine Birding Trail.

Kids stay free in July and August!

Then, head north and visit the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. See Maine’s iconic forests, its pristine rivers, and streams. The monument offers spectacular views of Mount Katahdin, special ecological features, and extensive Maine historic and cultural resources. Mount Katahdin is the terminus of the Appalachian Trail, the highest peak in Maine and the center of Baxter State Park.
